What is Meditation?

Meditating

Meditation is a beautiful practice. It is simple, precise and scientific.

There are no aims and goals behind the practice, yet at the same time there are indications of progress which can brighten and uplift the practitioner's experience of meditation.

Although meditation is not about creating a mindset of fulfilling a desired outcome, an initial understand and approach is needed to begin journey without an end.

How meditation can help.

Awareness

To be aware means to be conscious. To give respect to our humanity and the intelligence our brain has given us. Living with awareness gives living life a whole new perspective. We become more attuned to our life and daily activities, thoughts and actions.
~ Meditation will aid you in developing stronger brain networks so you can 'pay attention' to life for longer.

Clarity

There are times in life where we need to make choices. Important choices which will pave the direction of our destiny. Emotions, memories and thoughts can play strong roles in how we make choices. By having a clear, concise mind which is not affected by external or internal influences, we are capable of making definitive and courageous decisions.

Calmness

A calm mind, a serene presence is like a ship sailing the roughest oceans, swept by seas and storms, yet the captain does not break a sweat. Calmly steering the ship and soothing his crew in the process. With calmness and harmony, we are like an anchor of peace, entering any harbor and firmly grounding ourselves in any circumstance. We cannot be moved, pulled or swept away.

Meditation is more than just a practice. It is the way of life. Living with consciousness and sincerity.

Many of you may know of meditation as a sit down practice involving closed eyes, crossed legs and a hand position. This is only a fundamental form of meditation. It is essential and necessary, yet meditation beautifully traverses all aspects of life and resides in every act we do.

Meditation is about being conscious and aware of our self, our entire being, and witnessing the miracles of life as they appear in every moment.

Whether you are cooking, going for a walk or even talking to your neighbor. The practice of meditation can be applied in every situation, and it will assist in the experience of life itself.
